WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
All colors of MARATHON are wash boil and light fast and tan be dry-cleaned. For best results, however, we recommend the following care be taken:
WASHING
All embroidered articles should be washed with mild laundering agents. If washed by hand, ample water should be used to allow the goods to move freely. MARATHON can be washed with water up to 95°C.
If necessary Marathon can also be washed with heavy duty detergents including chloride, bleach or any solvent except tricloroehtylene.
It is most important to thoroughly rinse the embroidery before wringing or dry spinning. Embroidered clothing should never be left lying in a damp or wet pile.
Both of the above apply in particular to embroidered items that are washed for the first time.
DRY-CLEANING-STAIN-REMOVING
MARATHON may be dry-cleaned. It is necessary to rinse the embroidery after removing any stains.
IRONING
All embroidred items should be ironed on the reverse side or between two pieces of cloth. The iron may be heated up to 130°C.
STORAGE
High temperatures, direct vicinity of heating, moisture and sunlight must be avoided when embroidery thread is stored. Secure loose ends by tying a knot. Do not use tape. Repackage thread in the plastic bag when not using to prevent exposure from dust and dirt, as guard against humidity.
